Dignus 2009, Viña Magaña. DO. Navarra
Grapes: 50% Tempranillo, 25% Merlot and 25% Cabernet Sauvignon.
Colour: Deep cherry red with a purple rim.
Nose: Ripe fruit with slight toasted notes from aging.
Taste: Powerful, concentrated wine with lots of flavour. Good acidity with ripe tannins. Aftertaste is long and persistent.
The 2009 Dignus exhibits a Pomerol-like perfume of mocha, black cherries, mulberries and cola. There is lots of richness, sweet, well-integrated tannins, full body and a hefty, lush mouth feel. It should continue to drink beautifully for another 4-5 years.
