Perica Reserva 2009, Grupo Perica – DOCa Rioja
Grapes: 90% Tempranillo, 5% Garnacha and 5% Mazuelo
Elaboration process: Manual harvest in boxes. Grapes are sorted in our premises through conveyor belts and other advanced grape selection technology.
Both alcoholic and malolactic fermentation is done in 6.500 litre French oak vats.
Aged in Bordeaux style, 225 litre barrels, for 24-28 months, combining both new 225 litre French oak barrels with similar oak barrels from Eastern Europe.
Bottle aged for at least 18 months before being sent out into the market.
Colour: Clean with an intense color with cherry reflections.
Nose: Aromatic intensity and complexity.
Taste: Toasted bouquet notes with mature dates and touches of toffee. Polished tannins.
Food pairings: Ideal for drinking unaccompanied or with meats (cold and cooked) and with mixed vegetables.
